INREMP establishes project's M&E System

Mr. Jourvin Barrera, the resource speaker of the workshops, discusses
the Results-Based Monitoring and Evaluation (RBME) System that will
be used by INREMP.

Aimed at improving and strengthening the current monitoring and evaluation system of the Integrated Natural Resources and Environmental Management Project (INREMP), the National Project Coordinating Office (NPCO) initiated a series of workshops for the establishment of INREMP M&E system last July and August 2015.

The first workshop focused on the formulation of the Project Implementation Plan (PIP). The PIP aims to monitor the progress in terms of outputs and its specific activities in the project design and monitoring framework. It was held from 30 June to 2 July 2015 at Sequioa Hotel, Mother Ignacia, Quezon City.

It was followed by the workshop on financial monitoring system which focused on establishing a system to link spending (financial performance) with the physical progress of implementation. It was held from 3 to 7 August 2015 at Widus Hotel and Casino, Clark, Pampanga.

Both workshops were participated by Watershed Management Officers, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialists and Finance Officers of the Provincial Project Management Offices (PPMOs) and RPCOs, Regional Focal Persons, and representatives from the Foreign Assisted and Special Projects Services (FASPS).

The workshop aimed to organize actual Project spending (since start of the Project to June 2015) according to Components and outputs; and link financial progress with the physical progress of the Project by Component and output.

The output of these workshops are draft PIP and Obligations Database by Component System.
