DENR-USAID supports technical discussion on draft guidelines for Forest Management Units (FMUs).

Dr. Felix Gaschick, B+WISER Biodiversity and Forestry Specialist, explained the contents of the draft technical guidelines on Forest Management Unit (FMU) Planning and Monitoring.

Fifteen technical staff of the Forest Management Bureau (FMB), Integrated Natural Resources and Environment Management Project (INREMP), and GIZ participated in a technical discussion on the draft technical guidelines on forest management unit planning and monitoring on January 20, 2014 at the FMB training hall in Quezon City.

B+WISER validates results of Vulnerability Assessment for critical areas in Quinali "A" Watershed in Albay.

On January 13-15, 2015, DENR-USAID’s B+WISER Program validated the results of the Vulnerability Assessment Analysis Report done by partner World Agroforestry Center (ICRAF) for Albay province’s Quinali "A" Watershed through a workshop and field visit with 33 representatives from DENR Regional and Provincial Offices and Provincial and Municipal/City local government units (LGUs), including Arnold Embestro, Head of the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Governance Office in Legazpi City.

B+WISER-trained Eco Rangers showcase completed environmental conservation projects in Oriental Mindoro.

Twenty-two B+WISER-trained high school students, called Eco Rangers, from 10 schools across 4 municipalities in Oriental Mindoro showcased photos and art work representing their completed environmental conservation projects during the Eco Ranger Gallery and Awarding event on January 7, 2015 in Calapan City.
