On May 26-27, more than 15 stakeholders from two of Mindanao’s largest protected areas, the Mt. Kitanglad Range Natural Park (MKRNP) and Mt. Apo Natural Park (MANP), exchanged best practices on environmental law enforcement, biodiversity conservation and ecotourism during a learning activity organized by DENR-USAID’s B+WISER in Malaybalay, Bukidnon.

B+WISER enhances local capacity in forest management and coastal protection in Oriental Mindoro.

On May 13-14, 2015, DENR-USAID’s B+WISER conducted a hands-on training in Baco, Oriental Mindoro to enhance the capacity of 47 representatives from DENR, the provincial government of Mindoro, and the municipal governments of Baco and San Teodoro on Forest Management Unit (FMU) establishment and forest restoration planning.

More than 25 members of the FLORA Agroforest Association, a People’s Organization, gained knowledge and skills in Forest Management Unit (FMU) planning after attending a hands-on training on May 5-7, 2015 conducted by DENR-USAID’s B+WISER and the ENR Office of the Provincial Government of Isabela in Maconacon, Isabela.
