The Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Forest Management Bureau (DENR-FMB) conducts the 1st Bi-annual National Interagency Technical Working Group (ITWG) Meeting for CY 2025  of the DENR-FMB-FAO-GEF 6 FLR Project, titled “Enhancing biodiversity, maintaining ecosystem flows, enhancing carbon stocks through sustainable management of forest resources and the restoration of degraded forestlands.

This meeting serves as a platform to evaluate and review the milestones and accomplishments of the project for the current year at the national level and in key project areas, specifically the Pantabangan-Carranglan Watershed Forest Reserve (PCWFR) and the Simulao Sub-Watershed, present the updated project structure, results matrix, proposed FY 2026 Work and Financial Plan and gather possible challenges and concerns in order to enhance inter-agency cooperation and collaboration for more improved strategic and well-informed decisions to ensure effective project implementation.

The meeting was held at the DENR EMB Air Quality Conference Room, Quezon City, Metro Manila. Participants include representatives from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), FMB, DENR-Foreign-Assisted and Special Projects Service (FASPS), DENR-Policy and Planning Service (PPS),  Ecosystems Research and Development Bureau (ERDB), DA-Bureau of Soils and Water Management (BSWM), Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev), National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and DILG-BLGU.
