The Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Forest Management Bureau (DENR-FMB) is currently conducting the Interagency Technical Working Group (ITWG) Consultation of the Project Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Framework of the DENR-FMB-FAO-GEF 6 FLR Project, titled “Enhancing biodiversity, maintaining ecosystem flows, enhancing carbon stocks through sustainable management of forest resources and the restoration of degraded forestlands.”
The workshop focuses on the Component 3 of the Project on Knowledge, Partnership, Monitoring, and Assessment. The National Project Management Unit (NPMU) has developed a comprehensive M&E Logical Framework at the project level. This framework is derived from the Results Matrix outlined in the Project Document and the Work and Financial Plan, ensuring alignment with the project’s overarching goals and objectives. Accordingly, this activity serves as a critical platform for deliberation, validation, and integration of the recommendations and insights gathered from the ITWG as part of the finalization process of the Project M&E Framework.
The finalized project M&E framework will serve as the foundation for the development of a robust and data-driven National Forest and Landscape Restoration (FLR) M&E Framework.
The workshop is being held at the EMB Air Quality Conference Room, Quezon City, Metro Manila. Participants include representatives from the FMB, DENR-Foreign-Assisted and Special Projects Service (FASPS), DENR-Policy and Planning Service (PPS), Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB), and Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
