The Forest Management Bureau (FMB) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) is conducting a Learning Event on Community Organizing for Community Development (CO-CD) from November 3 to 7, 2025, in Quezon City.

This initiative aims to strengthen the institutional capacity of FMB personnel in the practical application of participatory approaches within forestry programs, especially the Community-Based Forest Management (CBFM) and National Greening Program (NGP). The event constitutes a critical component of the re-entry action plan submitted by FMB staff members who participated in the Training of Trainers on CO-CD, which was previously organized by the DENR’s Environment and Natural Resources Academy (ENRA) in September 2024.

Lively and insightful sessions led by ENRA trainers have helped deepen FMB’s commitment to a people-centered forestry approach, ensuring that forest-dependent communities become resilient partners in forest governance and sustainable development.
