The Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Forest Management Bureau (DENR-FMB) is currently conducting a Consultation Workshop on Forestry Plans and Forestry-Related Policy Concerns on April 20-23, 2025. Specifically, the workshop provides a venue to discuss pressing policy issues and gaps, explore concrete actions, and identify possible areas for collaboration and harmonization with other DENR offices. The workshop also revisits and refines the strategic directions and priority thrusts of the Forestry Sector while enhancing the existing forestry roadmap and targets through 2028.

Simultaneously, the FMB is also conducting the Consultation and Validation of the Results-Based Monitoring and Evaluation (RBME) system. The workshop aimed to discuss and level-off with DENR Regions regarding the alignment of the current Programs, Projects, and Activities of the Forestry Sector with the targets of the Philippine Master Plan for Climate Resilient Forest Development (PMPCRFD).

Participants include DENR Regional Executive Directors, Assistant Regional Directors for Technical Services, Regional Planning Officers, and Regional Planning Staff. Their insights and recommendations will shape responsive and strategic measures for the evolving challenges and opportunities in the forestry sector. Additionally, the comments and inputs from these Regional Offices will be integrated into the draft RBME framework prior to its endorsement to the DENR Central Office. Through these collaborative workshops, the DENR-FMB continues to advance its commitment to sustainable forest management and climate resilience across the country.
