The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations- Philippines, enjoins everyone to participate in this year's #IntlDayOfForests with the theme “Healthy Forests for Healthy People”
The IDF is a global observance being held annually to raise awareness on the importance of forests to people and their vital role in poverty eradication, environmental sustainability, and food security. Sustainable management of all types of forests are at the heart of addressing challenges of conflict-affected, developing, and developed countries, for the benefit of current and future generations.
In celebration of the #IDF2023, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), through the Forest Management Bureau (FMB) will be conducting an Art Exhibition and Series of Art Therapy Sessions on 21-24 March 2023. The activity aims to promote mental health and well-being by combining the therapeutic potential of art with the restorative benefits of spending time in nature, while also increasing public awareness and appreciation of the ecological importance of forests.
