The Forest Management Bureau joined the 75th Annual Convention of the Society of Filipino Foresters, Inc., last November 8-11, 2023 at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center in Zambales.
With the theme, Advocating Wood and Non-Timber Forest Products Sufficiency for Climate Resiliency, Assistant Secretary and FMB Director, Arleigh J. Adorable delivered a message highlighting the critical role foresters play in the preservation and management of our natural resources, as well as the need to evaluate the current supply chain of timber and non-timber forest products in the country and create an enabling climate to facilitate and encourage more investors in forestry sector.
The convention aimed to equip Filipino foresters and forestry practitioners on current trends on forestry and related matters, to share experiences in the practice of forestry profession and to discuss pressing issues and suggest solutions to address such.
