The Forest Management Bureau culminated its celebration of Forestar 2021 through a live Facebook event, announcing the top eight entries and ultimately the top three winning entries for Forestar 2021: Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFP) Digital Art Competition.
In his opening message, Assistant Secretary Amaro said that Forestar is celebrated each year to highlight the importance of NTFPs and showcase the appreciation to these products through the conduct of different competitions.
In its fourth year, FMB raised the bar by featuring more NTFPs through a Digital Art Competition with the theme, “Christmas Amidst the Pandemic.” The competition highlights three NTFPs, namely, bamboo, rattan, and anahaw, in depicting how celebrating Christmas in the Philippines is being changed by the pandemic.
