The Forest Management Bureau (FMB) conducted the Turnover Ceremony of the FMB Directorship on April 4, 2022. The turnover of the responsibilities to the newly designated Director, Tirso P. Parian., Jr. was held through blended approach (face to face and online).
The turnover ceremony was attended by the DENR officials headed by Acting Secretary Jim O. Sampulna together with the Undersecretary for Policy, Planning and International Affairs and the Supervising Undersecretary of FMB Atty. Jonas R. Leones, Undersecretary for Field Operations - Luzon and Visayas Atty. Juan Miguel T. Cuna, Undersecretary for Enforcement, Solid Waste Management, Local Government Units Concerns and Attached Agencies Benito Antonio T. De Leon, Head Executive Assistant Roberto A. Oliveros, and the Director of the Environmental Management Bureau Engr. William P. Cuňado, and all FMB personnel.
The outgoing FMB Director, Assistant Secretary for Policy, Planning and Foreign-Assisted and Special Projects Marcial C. Amaro, Jr., presented the major accomplishments for the past year and on-going initiatives of the Bureau for the forestry sector. Moreover, Director Parian warmly accepted the tasks and challenges of leading both the FMB and the sector.
Finally, Acting Secretary Sampulna delivered his message of support to the new FMB Director, Dir. Parian, and thanked Assistant Secretary Amaro for a job well done for his outstanding leadership. He also urged the entire FMB Community to fully support Dir. Parian as he assume the FMB Directorship.
The turnover ceremony was concluded by photo opportunity and singing of the DENR Hymn.
